VACATION

I am leaving for vacation on Saturday 8/27/11. Cheyrl is going with me. We are going to South Dakota to Mount Rushmore and then driving through the badlands and into Colorado to Pike's Peak. Then driving through Kansas and Missouri on the way home. I am looking forward to it but a little nervous about driving in the mountains. I have never seen the mountains before so I am planning on taking alot of pictures. Wish us luck. My car is 8 years old.

Vixen

I had to put Vixen down yesterday. It was one of the hardest things that I have had to do. She has only been gone one day and I miss her. There was no dog to trip over when I got out of bed this morning. No dog looking at me with sad eyes when I left for work this morning and there will be no dog running to greet me when I get home from work tonight. It makes me want to cry ( again ).

I am never doing this again. It's just too hard.

OBSESSION

I have become obsessed with Face Book games. I am so obsessed that I have alias' that I play under so that I can be my own neighbor and give myself stuff.

I felt guilty about this until I talked to Kenny and found out that he has numerous accounts that he plays under as does Heather.

I even broke down and spent real money to get fake money ( one time)... I had a desperate moment.

Cityville...Farmville...ZombieLand....FrontierVille...Gardens of Time...Treasure Island. So many games and only 5GB a month to play them in!

Blizzard of 2011

Just to give you a little update on the Blizzard of 2011.. This is what Bob and I and the kids have to deal with this morning. This is a picture of one of the cars, if you look you can see the side mirror and part of the rear tire well. I will update more as the day goes on. Happy shoveling, snowblowing and praying.

ARGH

I am snow bound. There is a four foot snow drift across half of my driveway. I have been shoveling for four hours and still have 1/3 of the driveway to go. The only good thing about the blizzard of 2011 is that I can't make it into work. A lot of the roads in the county are closed so even if I get out of the driveway I have no place to go.

Time to hunker down with a hot cup of coffee and really good book. The Spy Who Came to Christmas by David Morrell. He is my favorite author of all time.

I'm A Big Girl Now

Hi. I have finally gotten a computer. It's really a notebook, but its all mind. I also have gotten a cell phone. If you know me, you know this is a big deal. I don't like technology. I feel that you should just pick up your phone and talk to the person. I was aqainst texting. I wasn't going to get a phone that could text because you can just answer and talk, but everyone has told me to get texting. I already like it. I should have done this a lot sooner.

This is the first time that I have really used the computer. I am still getting used to it. I am on the computer at work so much that I don't even think about getting on when I get home.

Maybe by next month I will have a facebook page and know how to twitter, but don't hold your breathe.
